http://kb.library.bethel.edu/articles/91/

Academic dishonesty constitutes a serious violation of scholarship at Bethel that can result in substantial penalties, including denial of credit (U or F) in a course as well as dismissal from the college. Academic dishonesty includes, but is not limited to:

  • cheating on assignments or exams
  • plagiarizing (misrepresenting another's work as one's own original creation)
  • submitting the same (or substantially the same) paper in more than one course without consent of all instructors concerned
  • depriving others of necessary academic sources
  • sabotaging another student's work
  • using without attribution a computer concept or program

Students charged with academic dishonesty have the right to appeal any disciplinary action. Contact the Office of Academic Affairs for details on the appeal process.
