Overdue Materials and Fines

Library users with overdue materials are sent 3 notices via email. A final billing notice is sent by email to your Bethel email address. If materials are not returned after this billing notice, they are then BILLED with an attached fine

Books, Videos, Music

Fines are $65 or more for each book, cd, audiobook, etc. or $115 or more for videos/dvds.

Reference

Fines are assessed daily at $1 per day. Reference fines will not be waived.

Reserves

Fines are assessed hourly at $.25 per hour. Reserve fines will not be waived. Items not returned will be billed to the user's Bethel account through the Business Office at $65 for books and $115 for videos.

Laptops

Laptops have a 3 hour maximum check out period. They are fined $20 per hour after the 3 hour period has expired.

Billed in Error

If you have been billed for an item you returned, please contact the Circulation Desk at x6222.

Revoking Borrowing Privileges

Borrowing privileges may be revoked if there are substantial unpaid or
unresolved charges on a library user's record.
