Mission

The mission of the BUL Curriculum Library is to support the methods and practicum courses and the juvenile literature courses provided by the Education Department. The goal is to provide materials for inspection, evaluation, and utilization in creating instructional plans for use with children from preschool through grade twelve.

Primary users for the Curriculum Library are undergraduate Education students and faculty.

  • TEACHERS' RESOURCES AND SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIALS: A variety of teacher resource materials including but not limited to activity books, lesson plans, and instructional support materials.
  • TEXTBOOKS: Sample textbooks in the basic subject areas for grades K-12.
Acquisitions/Weeding

The curriculum library depends on Education faculty for selecting and maintaining material in the collection. Library staff will assist in these efforts. Criteria for selection of materials are at the discretion of Education faculty.

Scholarly education books are located in the main collection. Library staff evaluates purchased and donated material to determine placement in the main or curriculum collection.

Library staff will withdraw material in poor physical condition, superseded, or duplicate information.
